Senior Prizegiving 2011
The 2011 Senior Prizegiving ceremony was the culmination of the academic year for our senior students. This special evening provided the opportunity to acknowledge the top students in each subject and each year level, as well as acknowledge students' participation and contribution to the College.
The evening began with the staff processional to the stage accompanied by a performance of "Flourish for Wind Band" (written by Ralph Vaughn Williams) by the Concert Band. A karanga was performed by Jackie Barrett. Naomi Gribble was the lead vocalist during the singing of the New Zealand National Anthem. Between the Maori and English versions of the anthem, a haka was performed by the following students: Dylan Barrett; Moses Bull; Justin Cramer-Roberts; Nicholas Finch; Benjamin Morgan; Richie Oliver and Matthew Phillips-Rudowski.
The guest speaker was Mr Darren Levy, Director of Executive Development - The University of Auckland Business School. He shared with us some of his experiences and reflections from past employment opportunities. The audience very much enjoyed the humourous delivery of his message.
