Head Prefects, Kimberley Torrie and Ben McGuinness, gave a humorous shared speech in which they referred to their school days as a journey and used a road trip metaphor. They had the audience in fits of laughter, as they spoke about handbrakes, rear vision mirrors and traffic lights. They were also quite nostalgic as they recalled the good times at Glendowie College.

Noel Playle
It was announced at the ceremony that Mr Noel Playle is leaving. This marks the end of a special era for Glendowie College. Mr Playle joined the staff of Glendowie College during the principalship of Mr Adams in the 1970s and over the years has influenced hundreds of Glendowie College students both as a teacher and as the Senior Dean. Mr Playle has taught Mathematics with Statistics and has also guided generations of year 13 students in their final year of secondary school. He will long be remembered for his high expectations of Year 13 students and his warm sense of humour.
