2012 Glendowie College Ball - Las Vegas

This year’s School Ball was held on the 12th of May at the Viaduct Events Centre, an amazing venue which looked out over the water, with the lights of Auckland city creating a stunning backdrop. The theme of ‘Las Vegas’ was brought to life as students were welcomed by two girls dressed in showgirl costumes. Around three hundred and thirty students attended, all dressed in their most glamorous or handsome attire. The atmosphere on the night reflected that of the theme with many of the students trying their luck at the casino tables with fake money and most making it out onto the dance floor. With a highly entertaining Award Ceremony special mention must be made of the 2012 Ball King - Harry Hughes, Ball Queen - Taotao Li, Prince - Aaron Mayo-Smith and Princess - Elizabeth Mayo-Smith.
Overall the night was a great success. Special thanks to the Ball Committee consisting of Emma Plom, Danielle Wilson, Rebecca Phemister, Bevin Liang, Taotao Li and Samuel De La Mare.
