How To Apply - International Students

Please read all the information carefully.

  • Complete and return the Pre-Enrolment Application form and Acceptance of Terms and Conditions form.

  • Attach the student’s photograph to the application.

  • Entry Criteria Please send the following:
            a) The applicant’s most recent school reports (verified)
            b) Academic transcripts (verified)
            c) Any references
            d) Confidential Student Report from school Principal enclosed (to be returned directly to Glendowie College).
            e) The applicants passport (front pages)
            f) Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

    Note: Should you require a more prompt response to your application the above information may be faxed to the college before posting.

  • When your pre-enrolment application has been received by the college and your application approved for provisional enrolment, we will acknowledge by letter to you. Upon receiving this acknowledgement, please remit the fees as outlined in Section F, either direct to the College or to its bank account which is as follows:

  • Once payment has been received you will be forwarded an Offer of Place form, receipt for fees and confirmation of your enrolment at Glendowie College. All of these are to be included with your application for a Student Visa from the New Zealand Immigration office in your country.

  • For those students who have requested Kiwi Homestay accommodation, your flight will be met (details to follow from Kiwi Homestay). Please advise the College and Kiwi Homestay of your flight arrival details. For those students making their own accommodation arrangements, you will need to make your own transport arrangements. Please advise the college of your estimated starting date.

  • Medical, Travel, Personal and Fee Protection Insurance is a condition of enrolment for an international student studying at Glendowie College and a requirement of the Code of Practice. The college will arrange this if requested and when payment has been received.

  • Enrolment is provisional and is subject to applicant being tested after arrival in New Zealand for academic and English proficiencies. The student will be advised following assessment of their class level and course. Where the student does not meet entry requirements for studying at Glendowie College they will be required to complete a suitable foundation English language course at an alternative English Language Institution. When the required level of English has been obtained, the College will reconsider the application. Where a student is required to attend an English Language Institution, the student will meet additional tuition fees and related costs.
