Scholarship Results

In 2010, there were 23 Subject Scholarships and 4 Outstanding Subject Scholarships achieved. These have been the best Scholarship results for Glendowie College since the Bursary Examinations era.

Students Who Have Done Exceptionally Well:

Shaun Seto
Outstanding Scholarship - Physics
Scholarship - Chemistry
Scholarship - Mathematics with Calculus
Scholarship - Statistics and Modelling

Shaun will be considered for the Outstanding Scholar Award, for candidates who achieve three Scholarships with at least two at ‘Outstanding’ level or more than three Scholarships with at least one at ‘Outstanding’ level in the same year. This is the second tier award for the next 40 – 60 candidates after the “Premier Award” for the very top 5 – 10 candidates. Note:  The number of recipients for this award is restricted and achieving the minimum requirements will not guarantee an award. If considered, Shaun will receive $5,000 each year for three years as long as he maintains a “B” grade average in tertiary study.

Amy qualifies for a Scholarship Award, for candidates who achieve Scholarship in three or more subjects. She will receive $2,000 each year up to three years as long as she maintains a “B” grade average in her tertiary study.

Avital qualifies for a Scholarship Award, for candidates who get Scholarship in three or more subjects. She will receive $2,000 each year up to three years as long as she maintains a “B” grade average in her tertiary study.


Ruishan Tang

Scholarship - Chemistry
Scholarship - Physics

Ruishan qualifies for a Single Subject Award, for candidates who get Scholarship in one or two subjects. A “one-off” award of $500 per subject – maximum payment of $1,000 i.e. up to 2 subjects only. She will receive a “one-off” payment of $1,000.

Haris qualifies for a Single Subject Award, for candidates who get Scholarship in one or two subjects. A “one-off” award of $500 per subject – maximum payment of $1,000 i.e. up to 2 subjects only. He will receive a “one-off” payment of $1,000.

These students qualify for Single Subject Awards. They will receive a “one-off” award of $500.
