International Computer Driving Licence - Course Information

International Computer Driving Licence will provide you with a broad base of computing knowledge from basic concepts of information technology to using the computer and managing files, Word processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Presentation, Information and communication. It is a sound foundation in itself as well as being a springboard to other more advanced computer studies be they skill based Unit Standards or problem solving through the NCEA Technology pathway.

International Computer Driving Licence - Assessment

All the work is internally assessed monthly using the skill cards that the students purchase at the start of the course.

Unit Standards:

2780 Operate and maintain a personal computer system Level 2 9 credits
2781 Manage and protect data in a personal computer system Level 2 3 credits
2784 Create and use a simple computer spreadsheet to solve a problem Level 2 3 credits
2786 Create and use a simple computer flatfile database to solve a problem Level 2 3 credits
5946 Use computer technology to present a computing topic Level 2 3 credits
5941 Exchange messages using electronic mail Level 2 2 credits
111 Operate a word processor Level 2 5 credits
