Calculations involving positive and negative numbers. Calculation of areas, perimeters and volumes. Algebra with patterns graphs and equation solving. Geometry with constructions and reasoning. Statistics with probability and data investigations.

YEAR 11
Number and Measurement skills with applications, Sketch and interpret graphs, Investigating patterns, Algebra, Statistical methods to explore data, Probability Trigonometry and Geometric construction techniques and Geometric Reasoning to solve problems..

YEAR 12 MAU MATHEMATICS
Construct and use tables, Calculations with Money, Strategies to solve measurement problems, Use of Formulae, Statistical investigations, Simulation Techniques to determine Probability and trigonometry.

YEAR 12 MSL MATHEMATICS
Differentiation and Integration, Trigonometry, Probability Modelling, Geometry, Sketching and Interpreting Non-Linear Graphs, Algebra and Sampling Techniques and Inferences.

YEAR 13 STATISTICS AND MODELLING
Probability, Calculus, Log Modelling, Numerical Analysis, Statistical Investigation and Sampling, Time Series, Probability Distributions, Log Modelling, Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Programming, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Time Series, Graphs, Confidence Intervals, Central Limit Theorem, Sample Statistics and Data Display.

YEAR 13 CALCULUS
Differentiation, Integration and Differential Equations with Applications, Algebra with Real and Complex Numbers, Trigonometry, Geometry with Conic Sections and Functions and their Graphs.

YEAR 9
Topic Tests, assignments projects and two exams.

YEAR 10
NCEA designed Topic Tests, assignments, projects and two exams. One test will be the Level 1.4 Internal Assessment.

YEAR 11
NCEA Achievement Standard Assessments, consisting of three internal and six practice tests for the topics covered in the external exams. All students will be expected to sit one End of Year Examination.

YEAR 12 MAU MATHEMATICS
NCEA Unit Standard Assessments, consisting of 9 assessments, which are all internal.
All students will be expected to sit an End of Year Examination.

YEAR 12 MSL MATHEMATICS
NCEA Achievement Standard Assessments, consisting of three internal and six practice tests for the topics covered in the external exams. All students will be expected to sit one End of Year Examination.

YEAR 13 STATISTICS AND MODELLING
NCEA Achievement Standard Assessments, consisting of three internal and five practice tests for the topics covered in the external exams. All students will be expected to sit one End of Year Examination

NCEA Achievement Standard Assessments, consisting of two internal and four practice tests for the topics covered in the external exams. All students will be expected to sit one End of Year Examination

YEARS 9 & 10
One week a year students are involved in a variety of activities for the National Mathematics Week
All students are involved in the Mathex Competition in school.
