Planning Your Future - Course Information

In order to develop a range of skills and experiences that will help the students to develop as young people, the programme offers two courses of study.

Course 1 - Careers Education and Employment Skills - Core Generic “Work and Study Skills” - 3 periods per 6 day timetable

Course 2 - Health and Well-Being - Physical Education, Outdoor Leadership and Recreation and Health Education - 3 periods per 6 day timetable

Planning Your Future - Assessment

Transition Education modules are Unit Standards Assessed
Assessment of National Qualifications Framework unit standards is competency based. A particular standard is set which must be reached for the learner to be judged competent. It is recognised that different students take different lengths of time to learn and competency based assessment allows students to try again if unsuccessful. Two attempts at each assessment is permitted.

Depending on individual needs, students have the opportunity to participate in different events organised by the Faculty of Development Programmes.
